The last of the fragrant fruit blossoms are nearly gone, their pink-and-white petals scattered across the orchards that nestle along the verdant foothills of the High Sierra.
By month’s end — the first strawberries #MadeInFresno will be ready for picking. Blackberries and blueberries won’t be far behind. In May, apricots, plums and other stone fruit will begin to ripen.
As the shutters disappear from the roadside stands, their colorful displays of sun-sweetened delights beckon drivers to stop and sample fruits. Check out http://www.pickyourown.org/CAfresmont.htm#listings

It’s not every day this travel director and a friendly food blogger friend get away. You might even think ‘heck, you get to travel & eat all the time’ why go to camp? Well, we believe in lifelong learning and Camp Blogaway seems just right.
Not only will we able to photograph food at the table without a sideways glance or roll of eye – we have a whole weekend to ourselves at a high mountain camp. Think whispering pines and s’mores round the campfire, even a warm soak in the hot tub. Did we mention the food? We get to eat delicious food and wine. It is the main focus for the event; the food. And, hanging out with some awesome people while hearing from experts sharing all the nuts and bolts of blogging is cool too.
Occasionally, it’s good to refresh with re visualizing your blogging career and we’ll hear from someone who runs the country’s top food styling agency and had has written eight cookbooks already as she brings her lively, insightful and entertaining style to the table to help re imagine what we do.
Even the best sometimes stumble but still get up and keep going, Dalyn Miller PR will be bringing that one; can’t wait to hear it.
From lighting and photography skills to getting our Pinterest and Google+ on to walking the tightrope or finding the benefits of the pitfalls, to meeting sponsors and new friends, this weekend at Camp Blogaway will be an adventure we’re up for!
